You said YES when we asked if you’d like to hear talks from WCNJ members who are both knowledgeable and passionate.  Wharton alumni then submitted dozens of topic proposals.  Finally, NJ’s Wharton alumni rated the suggested topics and we picked the four that you ranked the highest.

Now it’s time for all of us to hear these discussions in a forum that we call “WhartonTalks”.  Don’t let the simple name fool you – these are going to be dynamic presentations that will make you wonder why we haven’t done this type of event before.

Sharon Kornstein, AICI, CIP – Founder, ImageDesign, LLC

 

 

As an image consultant, Sharon is trained to enhance the visual appearance of others. To achieve their optimal executive presence, however, Sharon believes she must tap into more than her clients’ physical characteristics, and she’ll share what those other attributes are.

Madhur Aggarwal - General Manager, SAP Digital Commerce

Madhur Aggarwal is the General Manager of SAP Digital Commerce. In this role, he is responsible for driving the growth and direction of SAP's digital commerce business, allowing anyone to buy and use SAP and third-party offerings with minimal human interaction. Under Madhur's leadership, the SAP Digital Commerce business is delivering business offerings in an entirely digital interaction, enabling new business models and new sources of revenue, and reaching new audiences.  Follow him on Twitter @aggarwalmadhur

Jay Kingley - Managing Partner, Lionshare Partners

Jay is a founder and managing partner of Lionshare Partners, encompassing 2 divisions: Centricity runs face-to-face marketing influencer groups that bring together proprietors and professionals that share the same target market and social purpose. Lionshare Marketing Group grows clients that are in the top 10% of what they do twice as fast in half the time.

Jay is the former Chairman of the Mindful Eating Company. He previously headed a global venture development group at Zurich Financial Services. Jay was a management consultant where he worked in partnership with senior client management on issues of strategy, technology, and finance while building high-value practice areas for two international consulting firms. He was a senior partner and member of the Operations Committee at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants where he led the firm’s global financial services practice. He was previously a Vice President with The LEK Partnership, where he was a leader of the firm’s telecommunications practice.

Jay has been a principal in the creation of 11 new companies. Jay is currently a Board Member of Collaborative Health Inc. a health and wellness platform and the Wharton Club of New Jersey. He is also on the marketing and membership committees for the Club. He serves as an advisor to SRP Systems, a dynamic pricing company and LeanOnWe, a homecare company. Jay is a past Board Member of Cicero, Inc., a public company in the enterprise desktop automation space.

Sharon Kornstein, AICI, CIP - Founder, ImageDesign, LLC

Ms. Kornstein is the founder of ImageDesign LLC. She has an undergraduate degree in business from Wharton, and attended Fashion Institute of Technology to study advanced image consulting. Sharon teaches business image and etiquette at several local colleges and speaks at companies on business dress. For her private clients, Sharon creates an effective visual image by blending their physical characteristics, personal preferences and industry requirements into a comfortable and unique style. Sharon is the current President of the Association of Image Consultants, International, NY Tri-State Chapter.

 

Siddharth Saran - Founder & CEO, Orca Advisory, LLC                  

Siddharth Saran is passionate about technology’s influence on business. His prior roles and experiences have included heading the technology and business services sectors within the financial sponsors and leveraged finance group at UBS Investment Bank, co-founding a technology incubator, working on M&A and IPO of technology firms at Credit Suisse, and being a venture capitalist. Sidd has also built internet of things devices, led a team to the semi-final rounds of connected devices track of the NYC Big Apps competition in 2015, participated in machine learning challenges at Kaggle and created a program to teach children science, engineering and robotics. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Salem Steel NA, LLC, a precision steel tube distribution company, and a board member of Product Lab LLC, a tech incubator.
