Now that Phil Murphy is Governor of New Jersey, all signs point to the Governor and the state legislature hitting the ground running in fulfilling his campaign promise to legalize recreational marijuana in New Jersey.
Murphy has promised to sign into law a recreational marijuana bill within his first 100 days in office and lawmakers are already familiar with an adult-use recreational marijuana draft bill introduced by State Senator Nicholas Scutari last May. Cannabis entrepreneurs across the country see the Garden State as the next frontier in the recreational cannabis space.
There is still much to be done and we expect there to be lots of discussion on the topic between the new Governor’s inauguration and this seminar presented by Fox Rothschild LLP Partner Peter Kelly. He will discuss:
