The Wharton Club of New Jersey is pleased to host a lively discussion on the future of AI in conjunction with fellow alumni of Ivy League clubs of Cornell, Harvard, and Princeton, over a sumptuous buffet of Chinese food in the historic Summit Estate of Twin Maples.
Artificial intelligence is changing how we learn, work, write, solve problems, build relationships, and make decisions. But two important questions remain:
Is AI strengthening our critical thinking—or quietly replacing it? And as it becomes more advanced, will AI ultimately help or hurt humanity?
Join fellow alumni and guests for an engaging evening of thoughtful discussion as we explore some of the most consequential questions of the AI era. Rather than simply debating whether AI is “good” or “bad,” we’ll examine how it is affecting the way we reason, question assumptions, solve complex problems, and make decisions—while also considering its broader implications for work, education, creativity, human relationships, economic opportunity, personal autonomy, and society itself.
Will AI help people become more wise, capable, knowledgeable, and productive? Could it enable breakthroughs in medicine, science, education, and quality of life? Or might growing dependence on AI weaken essential human abilities, concentrate power, displace workers, spread misinformation, or create risks that become increasingly difficult to control?
Whether you’re an AI enthusiast, a skeptic, or simply curious, this interactive conversation is designed to challenge perspectives and spark meaningful dialogue with accomplished professionals from across the Ivy+ community.
Come prepared to share your ideas, hear diverse viewpoints, and enjoy great conversation over dinner.
