The Wharton Club of New Jersey in collaboration with the MIT Club of Northern New Jersey and other Ivy League Alumni Clubs would like to invite you to join us for a special conversation with Professor Muhammad Hajj, the Director of the Davidson Lab.
The Lab, one of the world’s leading R&D centers on coastal resilience, is working to protect the NYC metro area from the risks of another Superstorm Sandy and the inevitability of sea level rise.
See the Lab’s amazing system for monitoring, modelling, and forecasting water levels and behavior within a radius of 100 miles from New York Harbor. Share your thoughts with other alumni from MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Wharton and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as those from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
Davidson Lab Wave Tank

One of the largest in the world, it is used for modeling hurricane-driven waves and coastal morphological changes to project the effect of global warming on the vulnerability of beaches and coastal dunes to erosion. We will see a demo.
We will also learn about the Lab’s many other initiatives to manage the impacts of climate change and their work with other national and international research organizations.
Parking will be provided free at the Babbio Center parking garage on Frank Sinatra Drive; details will be sent to registrants before March 18.
This event is great for families and children of Middle School age and above are invited to attend. The wave tank demonstration is always a big hit!
