The Wharton Club of NJ is committed to providing members with both the networking forum and networking coaching, so that all members get the most out of one of the greatest business networks in the world – Wharton alumni!

WCNJ offers networking opportunities for its members through Business Leads Council Meetings. The club currently has six such groups (see below), each with about 10-15 non-competing members meeting monthly at various New Jersey locations to share business ideas & leads, and learn about each other’s business interests. Additional Leads Councils can be established in other geographic areas of NJ if there is sufficient demand; please let us know if you would like to help establish another Leads Council in your area.

Bergen County  Bergen County Leads meets regularly every month. Currently we are meeting Virtually the first Friday of every month. Our meetings are typically attended by 10-14 Wharton alum, some regulars to our group, and others new to join. Please contact Roger Saks for full details.

Mercer County - Mercer County Leads Council is currently meeting Virtually on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Please contact Louise Campi If you wish to be added to the distribution list.

Middlesex County - Middlesex County Leads is currently meeting Virtually, the first Friday of the month, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Please contact Susan Goldsmith or Louise Campi if you wish to be added to the distribution list.

Leads Council Membership Details:

WCNJ Leads Councils meet monthly at a breakfast meeting. The location is shared with attendees after they have been accepted and officially registered with each individual council.  There is a registration fee which ranges between $10 to $17 to cover the cost of the room and the refreshments.  A link will be shared with you by the coordinator to register for individual meetings.

The WCNJ Leads Councils are networking groups open only to supporting members who live, work or do business in NJ. All members are welcome to join a first meeting, but you must be a dues paying member (“Supporting Member”) of the Wharton Club of New Jersey to become an ongoing member of a Leads Council. As described below, our non-competitive councils allow only one member representing each industry area within each networking group.

Membership is on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to participate:

Send an email to the coordinator of the Leads Council you would like to join (see list above).

In your email, please include:

  • Your name
  • Title
  • Company
  • Industry area and professional concentration
  • Email address
  • Business address, and
  • Office and mobile phone numbers.

Members who are accepted will be contacted individually to register and to access the meeting location. No guests or walk-ins will be permitted.

Membership Benefits:

Leverage your Wharton network and share business leads or development opportunities with other Wharton alum that either live or work in your geographical area.

• Expand your selling and business development network
• Advise and help other non-competing Wharton alumni grow their businesses
• All in a supportive, non-competitive environment

The mission of each Leads Council is to build a network of Wharton alumni, to share new leads and business development growth opportunities, and serve as a forum where members can learn from and support each other in growing their respective businesses.  Because it is a non-competitive council, we allow only one member representing each industry area.
